Chief, Pediatric Urology

Under the direction of Joseph G. Barone, MD, Chief of Pediatric Urology, our pediatric urology team provides the highest quality services with unsurpassed experience and expertise, remaining skilled in all the latest developments and techniques in the field.

Our urologists are board-certified, have completed fellowship training in pediatric urology, and are leaders in their field. They are joined by a team of specialized nurses and ancillary staff who are committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to our youngest patients.

Dr. Barone and his team have treated children from all over the world for complex conditions, including surgical reconstruction of the urinary tract. This complicated procedure – a specialty of Dr. Barone’s – uses a patient's own intestines to build a new urinary bladder. Dr. Barone also performed New Jersey's first robotic pediatric kidney reconstruction procedure.

Our program’s physicians, nurses, and other caregivers are not only experienced in treating the unique urinary problems that occur in children, but they have also achieved a special level of expertise in communicating with youngsters and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and the issues they may face.
