Expecting? Expect the Best From Our Maternity Services
When you choose to deliver your baby at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, you can rest assured knowing that we have the most advanced medical capabilities and skilled specialists to handle everything from the routine delivery to the most high-risk complications, all in a luxurious, family-centered environment.
Regional Perinatal Center
With state-of-the-art technology and a staff of medical experts, the Regional Pernatal Center is equipped to handle any emergency for mothers and babies before, during and after delivery. The center provides specialized services such as 3-D and 4-D ultrasound, first and second trimester genetic sonography, genetic counseling and the state’s most advanced program for preventing pre-term birth and pregnancy loss. It is also the only center in New Jersey that provides fetal surgery for the treatment of certain conditions.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Having a premature infant or one with medical complications that require the special services of a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is an emotional and medical roller coaster.
“That’s why the family-centered philosophy of care at our NICU is so important,” says Catherine Amato-Bowden, RNC, coordinator of the high-risk infant follow-up program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
